- Dedication is a spiritual decision with practical consequences.
- It is the moment when a person says, God, I am yours.
- My life, my household, my career, everything belongs to You.
- Anything placed in God’s hands becomes more valuable.
- A rod in Moses hand is just a stick, but in God’s hand it parts the Red Sea.
- A boy’s lunch in Jesus hand feeds thousands.
- And a life fully surrendered becomes a vessel of God’s power.
- Today we will look at 4 things that happen when we intentionally dedicate ourselves, and everything connected to us, to God.

- He didn’t know where he was going, but God guided every step.
- Dedication didn’t remove uncertainty, but it guaranteed direction.
- Life is complex rent/mortgage, marriages, careers, children, health decisions.
- When you dedicate your life to God, He gives you clarity in confusion, wisdom in decisions, and peace in seasons of transition.
- You stop reacting to life and start following divine direction.

“About this time, a man and woman from the tribe of Levi got married. The woman became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She saw that he was a special baby and kept him hidden for three months.” Exodus 2:1-2
“En esos días, un hombre y una mujer de la tribu de Leví se casaron. La mujer quedó embarazada y dio a luz un hijo. Al ver que era un niño excepcional, lo escondió durante tres meses.” Éxodo 2:1-2
“But when she could no longer hide him, she got a basket made of papyrus reeds and waterproofed it with tar and pitch. - If YOU had the opportunity to address this assembly what keys to success would you give us?
- What keys to success come to mind right now?
- As I began preparing for this discourse, that was the question I asked myself.
- I remembered that not too long ago—just like you—I was sitting alongside my fellow graduates.
- I was thinking about my ministry—the work that might come with it.
- I was thinking about my future and perhaps furthering my education.
- I was thinking am I going to succeed in this.
- Today, many years later, I have the honorable opportunity to speak to your hearts—and say...
- Here are some keys to success that worked for me.
BE COURAGEOUS

- Joshua had just gone through 40 years of learning & preparation.
- We could say he graduated from Bible School, High School, and College of the Desert — literally!
- He is now being promoted to leader of his country.
- Like you, he is about to embark on a whole new adventure of greater learning and conquest.
- An adventure where courage is a must.
- Here, “good courage” refers to being…
Resuelto: Firme en propósito e intención; no rendirse
- He was gonna have Jericho moments of: victory, rejoicing, great achievement, and so on.
- But also Ai moments of: delay, doubt, reassessing, and so forth.
- I know I did, and do, and will.
- That’s why God commands: BE COURAGEOUS.
- But it’s a command with a promise: I am with you.

- A greater step in a “life of service” to God.
- A new step towards higher learning or career.
- This is the culmination of the successful completion of a course of study.
- And perhaps you’re experiencing feelings of uncertainty and apprehension.
- Jeremiah prophesies to a nation in transition.
- Judah is being forced transition:
- From beloved Jerusalem to unknown Babylon.
- From perfect Hebrew to learning Chaldean.
- From self rule to foreign rule.
- You are in a moment of voluntary transition—right?
- I know I told myself, “I want to do this”
- To us, and especially to you who promote or graduate, God says with absolute certainty: Trust in Me; trust in My thoughts.
- TRUST IN THE PLAN I have for YOU, your family, your service, your future.
PERSEVERA

- Your Promotion marks the culmination of months / years of perseverance.
- For you Graduates it’s 12 to 16 years of perseverance.
- A journey of learning beyond the normal.
- A journey of preparation cuz the journey continues.
- For me, before and after school & Bible School, it’s been a journey.
- Arduous work, growing pains, dedication, and dying to self daily.
- As it happens, 1 Corinthians 15:58 is a conclusion to a chapter dedicated to the resurrection.
- It encourages all believers—at every stage of learning—to stand firm and steadfast.
- I say to you who Promote / Graduate: today is your day of resurrection.
- Today you rise up to a greater level of: Service, Ministry, of Education.
- Paul tells you: PERSEVERE—everything you’ve done, and will do, is not in vain.
- Everything you’ve learned, and will learn, is yours to keep—you’ve earned it—you have persevered.
- Be courageous, trust the plan, and persevere.
- Keys for success? You better believe it.
- They brought you and me here today.
- They have brought you to your Promotion and Graduation.
- They will take you even further.
- This is what I am honored to tell you today.

- A través de nuestra vida, antes del éxito, vinieron oposiciones, duda, temores, tropiezos y desánimos — y la mayoría de nosotros quisimos tirar la toalla.
- Y pensamos; si aquello valdría la pena, si era nuestro llamado y si es lo que en verdad eso es lo que queremos.
- Sin duda, déjame decirte, que es tan normal y no debemos de detenernos ante tanta trampa que nos pone el enemigo.
- Y por eso quiero darte 3 puntos para enfocar tu éxito.

- We read the story of Zacchaeus and realize that some some people are dedicated to being bad.

- Some people are just mean, ugly characters.
- Do you know anybody like that?
- Whether they can help it or not…(Ya sea que puedan evitarlo o no)
- Whether they were born to be bad or not.
- Some people are just bad & bad to the bone.
- Often times, at first they seem like good people — but then time reveals differently.
- Zacchaeus was bad:
- Tax collector, rich, short didn’t make him bad.
- Terrible Sinner, false accuser, & thief.
- 2 commandments broken.
- There are some around us, like Zacchaeus, that are faithful to bad.
- They need to be impacted by God’s goodness in us.
- Bad, or Good, we all need Jesus—all the time.
- We read the story of Zacchaeus and realize that some some people can’t help but criticize.

- They are good at it – dedicated to it.
- Do you know anybody like that? Professional critics.

- They criticized Jesus — the One with the solution to their problems with Zacchaeus!
- Let me speak about some very special people.
- There are some people that if they didn’t have anything to complain about, or who to criticize, they would have no life at all.
- They have the continuous need to find fault, and say something about it.
- We hear them everywhere:
- Family Reunion: Marriage; Weight; Children.
- Work Place: Doesn’t fit in; Boss sits around doing nothing; Boss’s favorite.
- Church: Pastor doesn’t meet my spiritual needs; Leader has it out for me; Well will you look at who took communion today!
- Some people just criticize—usually for no good reason.
- They are dedicated to criticizing.
- We read the story of Zacchaeus and realize that some people have the potential of doing good.
ALGUNOS SE DEDICAN A HACER EL BIEN
- Some people can experience the goodness of God, and become dedicated to doing good.
- Obviously, Jesus was dedicated to doing good.
- His disciples were doing good along with Jesus.
- What’s not obvious is that Zack had some good in him — He Was Hungry for God.

- That deep truth gets lost in the amazing dynamic of the story.
- Zacchaeus wanted to see who Jesus was.
- Not only did He see Jesus, he Obeyed Him, Fellowshipped w Him—& his good became stronger
- The bad he was dedicated to was defeated.
- He transformed into one dedicated to doing good.

- The good in Jesus brought out the good in Zacchaeus.
- Jesus is still dedicated to doing good.
- God is good all the time.
- What are you dedicated to?
- It’s up to you what you dedicate yourself to do.
- Today’s reminder, challenge, is to dedicate yourself to the good of reaching the lost.
- To rise above the voices that will come against your dedication.
- You must see beyond the bad of people, even their good, and bring them to Jesus Christ.
- This takes your dedication.
- Remember! Somebody dedicated their lives to find you.
- Now you can dedicate your life to go and find the lost.
