  • Jesus is the light of the world. 
  • He declares that if you choose to follow Him, you choose to walk in His light. 
    • Not in the light of the world, but in the eternal light of His presence. 
    • Not at the light of philosophies of men, but at the light of God’s Word. 
    • Not at the light of governments of men, but at the light of God’s Kingdom. 
“For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.” Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭
“Pues antes ustedes estaban llenos de oscuridad, pero ahora tienen la luz que proviene del Señor. Por lo tanto, ¡vivan como gente de luz! Pues esa luz que está dentro de ustedes produce solo cosas buenas, rectas y verdaderas.”  Efesios‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭
  • In the midst of darkness and evil is when the light shines best. 
  • The light of Jesus is the light you must shine today.

  • Why is it important to shine bright?
  • Not to bring attention to ourselves, but to help navigate everyone around us to Jesus.
  • Two things Apostle said on Sunday:
    1. Light shines the brightest in the darkness.
    2. The light of Jesus is the light we must shine today—it is our responsibility to do so.
  • So I went to the Word of God, and this is what I found and want to share with you tonight.

Shine Through Your Actions and Attitude 
Brilla a Través de Tus Acciones y Actitud

“Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, ‘children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.’ Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky.” Philippians 2:14-15
“Háganlo todo sin quejas ni contiendas, para que sean intachables y puros, hijos de Dios sin culpa en medio de una generación torcida y depravada. En ella ustedes brillan como estrellas en el mundo” Filipenses‬ ‭2‬:‭14‬-‭15‬
  • When we choose gratitude over complaining, peace over arguing, and humility over pride, we shine brightly for Christ.

Love Through Action

“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” 1 John 3:18
“Queridos hijos, no amemos de palabra ni de labios para afuera, sino con hechos y de verdad.” 1 Juan‬ ‭3‬:‭18‬
  • The light of Jesus shines brightest when our love is practical—encouraging someone, forgiving someone, serving someone, or meeting a need.

Stay Connected to Jesus

“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me… for without Me you can do nothing.” John 15:4-5
“Permanezcan en mí y yo permaneceré en ustedes. Así como ninguna rama puede dar fruto por sí misma, sino que tiene que permanecer en la vid, así tampoco ustedes pueden dar fruto si no permanecen en mí…separados de mí no pueden ustedes hacer nada.” Juan‬ ‭15‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭
  • The closer we stay to Jesus through prayer, His Word, and obedience, the more His character is reflected in us.
  • Jesus is the Light, and we are His lighthouses. 
  • Filled with His presence, we stand firm in a dark world, shining His love, truth, and hope so that those who are lost, hurting, and weary can find their way to Him.​

Every day, I can and will be dedicated to letting the light of Jesus in me shine brightly in the way I live, love, and serve others.

Shine Where There Is A Need

“One day as Jesus was preaching on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, great crowds pressed in on Him to listen to the Word of God. He noticed two empty boats at the water’s edge, for the fishermen had left them and were washing their nets.” Luke‬ ‭5‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭
“Cierto día, mientras Jesús predicaba en la orilla del mar de Galilea, grandes multitudes se abalanzaban sobre él para escuchar la palabra de Dios. Jesús notó dos barcas vacías en la orilla porque los pescadores las habían dejado mientras lavaban sus redes.” Lucas‬ ‭5‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭
“Stepping into one of the boats, Jesus asked Simon, its owner, to push it out into the water. So He sat in the boat and taught the crowds from there. When He had finished speaking, He said to Simon, ‘Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish’.” Luke‬ ‭5‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭

““Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear!” Luke‬ ‭5‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭

“When Simon Peter realized what had happened, he fell to his knees before Jesus and said, “Oh, Lord, please leave me—I’m such a sinful man.” For he was awestruck by the number of fish they had caught, as were the others with him.”nLuke‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭
“Cuando Simón Pedro se dio cuenta de lo que había sucedido, cayó de rodillas delante de Jesús y le dijo: —Señor, por favor, aléjate de mí; soy un hombre tan pecador.   • The light of Jesus, in us, shines and reveals needs.  
  • Jesus shined & revealed they had caught nothing. 
  • How frustrating for Peter & the others. 

Dad Takes Us Fishing

  • Peter reluctantly obeys, “if you say so”. 
  • When we let our light shine, things will be revealed. 
  • And if our light reveals a need, it becomes an opportunity for a need to be met…
  • And for many to believe.

But If You Say So
Pero Si Tú Lo Dices
  • How many times have we said it or heard it? 
  • Peter put it on Jesus. If YOU say so. 
  • That becomes a go-to reaction from Peter. 
  • They had fished all night—they caught nothing. 
  • He can’t go home cuz Jesus is using his boat. 
    • As kids we wanted to go home after church. 
    • Thank God there was a burger or chips after. 
  • Peter is tired—and now Jesus puts him to work. 
  • Have we ever told God, “alright!  if you say so”?
  • It’s not gonna be the last time. 

Don’t Abandon the Need Until It’s Met! 
¡No Abandones la Necesidad Hasta Que Sea Suplida!
  • Has anybody ever shared a need with you? 
  • We immediately check our resource bank and often times have to say, 
“I’ll be praying for you that God meets your need”
“Estaré orando por ti para que Dios supla tu necesidad”
  • Did you notice that Jesus never left the boat?
  • He gets in the boat to teach. 
  • When he tells Peter to go in deeper, He’s still there.  
  • The light of Jesus in us reveals the need. 
  • And if we can help immediately, praise God. 
  • But sometimes we will have to challenge people to go deeper in faith, prayer, and trusting God. 
“Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.” Psalms‬ ‭34‬:‭10‬ ‭
“Hasta los leones jóvenes y fuertes a veces pasan hambre, pero a los que confían en el Señor no les faltará ningún bien.” Salmos‬ ‭34‬:‭10‬
“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.” Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭33‬ ‭
“Busquen el reino de Dios por encima de todo lo demás y lleven una vida justa, y él les dará todo lo que necesiten.” Mateo‬ ‭6‬:‭33‬
“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from HIS glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.” Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭19‬ ‭

  • In that process, in that boat, we need to be there with them. 
  • They need to know that we will stand in faith & prayer until the need is met. 
  • We cannot abandon their need. 
  • We have to stay in the boat. 
  • We have to make it our need. 
  • We cannot abandon the need until it’s met. (No podemos abandonar la necesidad hasta que sea suplida)
[IMPETUS]
  • The purpose of the light revealing the need is for God to be glorified by Him meeting the need. 
  • Careful that it does not become an opportunity for us to take on the wrong attitude. 
  • To COP an attitude (bien chulos) of “I told you so”, “see, that’s what you get”, “maybe you’re not living right”. 
  • No one is righteous enough to be judge and jury. 
  • God, in His great mercy, chooses to be light in us so that He can meet the need & receive the glory. 
[APPLICATION]
  • God has given YOU his light—we are his lighthouse. 
  • Your light is going to reveal the needs of people. 
  • They are not just physical needs, but also spiritual—and of the soul. 
  • God gives you the power to shine. 
  • So that when the need is revealed, you can say, “God is going to meet your need.” 
  • And they will believe in the Light inside of you and say, “amen, if God says so”.

Shining Where There Is a Need and Stepping Out of the Boat

“Simon answered, ‘Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.’”  Luke 5:5 
“Maestro, hemos estado trabajando duro toda la noche y no hemos pescado nada, le contestó Simón. Pero, como tú me lo mandas, echaré las redes.” Lucas‬ ‭5‬:‭5‬ ‭

God Can Use Us Even When We Feel Empty 
Dios Puede Usarnos Incluso Cuando Nos Sentimos Vacíos
  • Peter was an experienced fisherman. 
  • He knew the water, nets, & the right time to fish. 
  • Yet his knowledge & effort had produced nothing.
  • Sometimes we also find ourselves with empty nets:
    • Empty strength
    • Empty finances
    • Empty emotions
    • Empty hope
    • Empty plans
    • Empty results after long labor
  • We may say: 
    • I have tried.
    • I have served. 
    • I have prayed.
    • I have helped others.
    • But nothing has changed.
  • Peter’s empty nets did not mean God was finished with him. They became the setting for a miracle.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

  • God does not require us to be strong enough before He can use us. He asks us to be available and obedient.
  • Ex: A Tired Parent
    • A parent may be exhausted from caring for children, working, and carrying responsibilities. 
    • Yet God may use that parent’s patience, prayers, and example to shape a child’s life.
    • The parent may feel as though nothing is happening, but God is working through faithful obedience.
  • Ex: An Encouraging Word
    • You may feel that you have nothing significant to offer. 
    • But a simple phone call, prayer, meal, or encouraging word may be exactly what someone needs.
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11 
“Por eso, anímense y edifíquense unos a otros.” 1 Tesalonicenses‬ ‭5‬:‭11‬ ‭
  • Your light does not have to be dramatic to be useful. 
  • A small light is still valuable in a dark place.

Shine Where There Is a Need

  • Jesus told Peter to go into the deep. 
  • God often calls us beyond what is comfortable and toward places where people are hurting.
Jesus said: “You are the light of the world.” Matthew 5:14 
“Ustedes son la luz del mundo. Una ciudad en lo alto de una montaña no puede esconderse.” Mateo‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬
  • A light is needed in darkness. 
  • Therefore, we should not be surprised when God places us among people who are struggling.
  • We are called to shine:
    • In our homes
    • In our workplaces
    • In our schools
    • In our neighborhoods
    • In our churches
    • Among the lonely
    • Among the poor
    • Among the discouraged
    • Among those who do not yet know Christ
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 
“Hagan brillar su luz delante de todos, para que ellos puedan ver las buenas obras de ustedes y alaben a su Padre que está en los cielos.” Mateo‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬
  • Our good works are not intended to make us famous. They are meant to make God visible.
  • The Good Samaritan
    • In Luke 10:25–37, a man was beaten and left wounded. 
    • Several people saw the need, but they passed by. 
    • The Samaritan stopped and helped.
    • He did not ask, “Who will take care of him?” He made the need personal.
    • He treated the man’s wounds, carried him to an inn, paid for his care, and made sure he was not abandoned.
“Jesus said: ‘Go and do likewise.’” Luke 10:37 
“Anda entonces y haz tú lo mismo —concluyó Jesús.” Lucas‬ ‭10‬:‭37‬
  • Sometimes shining means stopping. 
  • It means seeing what others overlook. 
  • It means makin someone else need important to us
  • “Nevertheless at Your Word”
  • Peter’s obedience was not based on his feelings. 
  • He was tired. 
  • It was not based on his circumstances. 
  • The nets had been empty. 
  • It was not based on his confidence. 
  • He had already worked all night.
  • His obedience was based on the word of Jesus.
“But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” Luke 5:5

  • This is the faith that shines.
  • We may say:
    • Nevertheless, at Your word, I will forgive.
    • Nevertheless, at Your word, I will serve.
    • Nevertheless, at Your word, I will give.
    • Nevertheless, at Your word, I will encourage.
    • Nevertheless, at Your word, I will go.
    • Nevertheless, at Your word, I will try again.
    • Nevertheless, at Your word, I will trust You.
  • Faith is not pretending that difficulty does not exist
  • Peter knew the night had been unproductive. 
  • But he also knew that Jesus’ word carried greater authority than his experience.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5 
“Confía en el Señor de todo corazón y no te apoyes en tu propia inteligencia.” Proverbios‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬
  • Sometimes obedience begins where excuses end.

Make the Need Your Need

  • When Jesus told Peter to let down the nets, Peter could have waited for someone else to respond. 
  • Instead, he took responsibility.
  • There are times when we see a need and say:
    • Someone should help.
    • Someone should visit.
    • Someone should pray.
    • Someone should speak up.
    • Someone should serve.
  • But the Holy Spirit may be asking, “Why not you?”
Paul wrote: ”Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others.” 1 Peter 4:10 
Pablo escribió: “Cada uno ponga al servicio de los demás el don que haya recibido.” 1 Pedro‬ ‭4‬:‭10‬ ‭
  • God has given every believer something that can bless someone else.
  • Ex: Isaiah
    • When God asked, “Whom shall I send?” Isaiah did not point to someone else. He responded:
“Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:8 
“Aquí estoy. ¡Envíame a mí!” Isaías‬ ‭6‬:‭8‬
  • Ex: Esther
    • Esther was placed in a position of influence so she could help save her people. 
Mordecai told her: “And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14 
Mordoqueo le dijo: “¡Quién sabe si precisamente has llegado al trono para un momento como este!” Ester‬ ‭4‬:‭14‬ ‭
    • Her position became an opportunity to meet a need.
  • Ex: Dorcas
    • Dorcas was known for helping widows and making clothing for those in need.
“She was always doing good and helping the poor.” Acts 9:36 
“Esta se esmeraba en hacer buenas obras y en ayudar a los pobres.” Hechos‬ ‭9‬:‭36‬
    • Her ministry was practical, compassionate, and personal. 
    • Her light shone through what she did for others.

Go Into the Deep 
Entra a lo Más Profundo
Jesus told Peter to: “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.” Luke 5:4 
Jesus le dijo a Pedro: “Lleva la barca hacia aguas más profundas y echen allí las redes para pescar.” Lucas‬ ‭5‬:‭4‬ ‭
  • The deep represents places where we cannot depend only on ourselves. It may be:
    • A difficult conversation
    • A new ministry
    • Helping someone who is struggling
    • Sharing your testimony
    • Forgiving someone
    • Giving when it requires sacrifice
    • Serving outside your comfort zone
    • Trusting God after disappointment
  • God may be calling us into deeper obedience.
  • The shallow place is familiar, but the miracle happened in the deep.
“We live by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7 
“Vivimos por fe, no por vista.” ‭‭2 Corintios‬ ‭5‬:‭7‬
  • We should not wait until we feel completely ready. If Jesus has spoken, we can obey.

The Result Is for God’s Glory 
El Resultado Es para la Gloria de Dios
  • When Peter obeyed, the catch was so great that the nets began to break & the boats began to sink.
“When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, ‘Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!’” Luke 5:8 
“Al ver esto, Simón Pedro cayó de rodillas delante de Jesús y le dijo: ―¡Apártate de mí, Señor; soy un pecador!” Lucas‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬
  • Peter recognized that the miracle was not the result of his skill — It was the work of Jesus.
  • Our obedience may lead to results that bless many people, but the glory belongs to God.
“Not to us, Lord, not to us, but to your name be the glory.” Psalm 115:1 
“No es para nosotros, Señor, sino para tu nombre sea la gloria .” Salmo‬ ‭115‬:‭1‬
    • When we help someone, God gets the glory.  
    • When someone finds hope, God gets the glory
    • When a family is restored, God gets the glory.  
    • When the lost are saved, God gets the glory.
  • Our light shines so that people may see not merely our goodness, but God’s goodness.

Do Not Let Fear Keep You in the Boat 
No Dejes que el Temor Te Mantenga en la Barca
  • In Matthew 14, Peter stepped out of the boat and walked toward Jesus on the water.
“Lord, if it’s you… tell me to come to you on the water.” Matthew 14:28 
“Señor, si eres tú… mándame que vaya a ti sobre el agua.” Mateo‬ ‭14‬:‭28‬
  • Jesus said, “Come.”
  • Peter stepped out, but when he focused on the wind, he became afraid and began to sink. 
  • He cried: “Lord, save me!” Matthew 14:30
  • Jesus immediately reached out His hand.
  • This connects with Luke 5. In both passages, Peter had to respond to the word of Jesus:
    • In Luke 5, he had to let down the nets again.
    • In Matthew 14, he had to step out of the boat.
  • In both situations, Peter had to trust Jesus beyond his own ability.

“Nevertheless, at your word” I will continue to let Your light shine in me and through me.

Shine in the Storm 
Brilla en la Tormenta
[INTRODUCTION]
  • Have you ever been through a storm?  Physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, etc. 
    • Often times we go through storms not realizing the strength of it. 
    • I drove through a terrible storm, not realizing its size and strength. 
  • Matthew 14 is a story about shining your light in the midst of a storm. 
  • It reveals how strong the light of God is. 
  • And it also reminds us of how fear can affect us. 
  • The challenge for us every day is to let the light of Jesus shine, even in the midst of life’s storms.
The Storms of Life 
Las Tormentas de la Vida
  • We’ve all gone through storms of life. (tormentas de la vida)
  • Difficult trials, suffering, or spiritual proving. 
  • Jesus was going through a personal storm — a season of mourning.  
  • His beloved cousin & mentor beheaded.
  • Later He would say…
“Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” John‬ ‭16‬:‭33‬ ‭ 
“Aquí en el mundo tendrán muchas pruebas y tristezas; pero anímense, porque Yo he vencido al mundo.” Juan‬ ‭16‬:‭33‬
  • Storms are part of life. 

God Is Visible in the Midst of a Storm 
Dios es Visible en Medio de la Tormenta
  • How illuminating—they’re able to see & recognize Jesus. 
  • It was dark:  3am; dark clouds; stormy night. 
  • Jesus had just fueled his light — He had spent the night in prayer. 
  • The “Oil House” (depósito de afeité) of His lighthouse (faro) was full. 
“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge!” Psalms‬ ‭46‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭
“Dios es nuestro refugio y nuestra fuerza; siempre está dispuesto a ayudar en tiempos de dificultad. Por lo tanto, no temeremos cuando vengan terremotos y las montañas se derrumben en el mar. ¡Que rujan los océanos y hagan espuma! ¡Que tiemblen las montañas mientras suben las aguas!” Salmos‬ ‭46‬:‭1‬-‭3‬
  • Seeing God in the midst of our life’s storm means recognizing that He is active in it. 
  • We are able to recognize that its His light transforming our fear into worship. 
  • Here is a process we sometimes go through when we go through life’s storm.

From Doubt to Fear to Sinking
De la Duda al Miedo al Hundirse
  • What would be a good response to these phases: 
    • DOUBT is the initial phase — this when we must identify exactly what is causing the hesitation.
    • FEAR is the phase of panic — mind locks onto the threat — the Word must enter here.
    • DROWNING is final phase —exhaustion sets in — only a lifesaver can save the fight for life. 
    • David understood storms — he said…
“Save me, O God, for the floodwaters are up to my neck. Deeper and deeper I sink into the mire; I can’t find a foothold. I am in deep water, and the floods overwhelm me.” Psalms‬ ‭69‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭ 
“Sálvame oh Dios, porque las aguas de la inundación me llegan al cuello. Me hundo cada vez más en el fango; no encuentro dónde apoyar mis pies. Estoy en aguas profundas, y el torrente me cubre.” Salmos‬ ‭69‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭
  • Interesting but Peter was qualified to overcome this situation - experienced fisherman - same sea Jesus caused a miraculous catching of fish.
  • Even the most experienced go through doubt and fear of sinking. 
  • But wherever we are in the process, God is always visible and ready to save us.
  • He is The Light that saves us — and gets us to the other side— like the disciples crossed to other side. 
  • Series Scripture, Jesus says…
“I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in darkness. They will have that light. They will have life.”  John 8:12

[APPLICATION]
  • Are you going through a life storm?
  • Maybe you’re experiencing some doubt, some fear of drowning. 
  • Maybe you’re beating yourself up for going through the process again. 
  • Wherever you’re at, Jesus stretches his hand to you, like He did with Peter. 
  • God transforms your boat into a life boat (bote salvavidas) so you and others can cross to the other side. 
  • He is your light for your everyday challenges. 
  • God is the light that shines in your storms.

The Light of God Shines Brighter In Life‘s Storms

Injustice:  “to be treated unfairly, unequally, or in an undeserved way” (Darkness) 
Injusticia: “ser tratado de manera injusta, desigual o inmerecida” (Oscuridad)
Injustice in the Bible:  “it is the absence of righteousness and fairness”
Injusticia en la Biblia: “es la ausencia de justicia y equidad”
  • Injustice surrounds us at Work & School. 
  • It also surrounds us at Home—even at Church. (unfair letter)
  • Jesus suffered the greatest of injustice. 
  • Although He did all good things, He was mocked. 
  • He was beaten, bruised, and crucified. 
  • Yes!  Jesus – the Light of the world. 

“I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in darkness. They will have that light. They will have life.”  John 8:12

  • Be careful to not be a part of darkness.

Take A Stand And Shine

“Now there was a good and righteous man named Joseph. He was a member of the Jewish high council, but he had not agreed with the decision and actions of the other religious leaders. He was from the town of Arimathea in Judea, and he was waiting for the Kingdom of God to come.” Luke‬ ‭23‬:‭50‬-‭51‬

  • Joseph did not agree with the decisions and actions taken against Jesus. 
  • He, a member of the Jewish High Council, asked for the body of Jesus. 
  • He brought Jesus body down from the cross, prepared it, and buried it in a new tomb. 
  • Placed the body in a tomb carved out of a rock (burial for the wealthy). 
  • Joseph was “good and righteous“ and stood against the religious and government systems.
[APPLICATION]
  • You need to Take a Stand Against Injustice. 
  • You need to Let Your Light Shine. HOW?:
    • Walk in the Light of Jesus. 
    • Stay Connected to the Light through Prayer. 
    • Do Good — God’s Light is good. 
    • Live a Radiant Life of Righteousness. 
  • God will take care of exposing evil and injustice while we stand against injustice.

Before We Shine God Shines the Light On Us

  • Paul speaks to the Christian Believers concerning his position as minister & leader. 
  • He allows the light to shine on him. 
  • And in this moment of his leadership being questioned, he writes.
​“As for me, it matters very little how I might be evaluated by you or by any human authority. I don’t even trust my own judgment on this point.” 1 Corinthians 4:3
“En cuanto a mí, me importa muy poco cómo me califiquen ustedes o cualquier autoridad humana. Ni siquiera confío en mi propio juicio en este sentido.” ‭‭1 Corintios‬ ‭4‬:‭3‬ ‭
  • He’s not being arrogant, he’s being very frank. 
  • I don’t trust what I think about me, for sure what you think of me is of lesser importance. 
“My conscience is clear, but that doesn’t prove I’m right. It is the Lord Himself who will examine me and decide.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬ ‭

  • Like in an interrogation scene. 
  • Being judged by people or human courts matters little — because we all get it wrong often times. 
  • We don’t have to say “hey don’t judge me” because our very own words & actions judge us. 
  • Paul goes even farther — even a clear conscience does not mean a person is completely innocent or cleared before God.
“So don’t make judgments about anyone ahead of time—before the Lord returns. For HE will bring our darkest secrets to light and will reveal our private motives. Then God will give to each one whatever praise is due.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭5‬ ‭

God Is The Real Judge

  • The Lord is the only one who truly evaluates and knows a person's life.
  • He discerns our thoughts & knows what is genuine righteousness & what is self-serving justice. 
  • He waits for the right time, right place, right situation, and the right way to speak to our lives. 
  • So we should stop judging others early — it’s not necessary — it’s not relevant. 
  • God’s pure light reveals true motives. 
  • God’s righteous light reveals hidden truth. 
  • God’s powerful light reveals His justice—not ours. 
[APPLICATION]
  • You are expected to shine your light—Let It Shine. 
  • But first, God must shine HIS light on you. 
  • The conviction in every Service, Bible Reading, Prayer, & Praise is God shining His light on you. 
  • The conviction in certain life situations, financial decisions, business steps, relationship issues is God shining HIS light on you. 
  • Are you ok with God shining His light on you?
  • Are you open to see what God sees about you?
“I hear that there are divisions among you when you meet as a church, and to some extent I believe it.” 1 Corinthians 11:18

How do we lose the SHINE?

  • Weakness / Debilidad – First reason of Peter’s denial was based partially on weakness.
  • Fear / Miedo - A second reason for Peter’s failure was fear.

Is there a way to get the SHINE back?

“tend My sheep”. not only feeding but ruling over them.
