PASSION
LA PASIÓN
  • One of the most passionate people in the Bible is Jesus - He was all wrapped with passion.
  • We just celebrated His week of passion - His willingness to suffering, shed His blood, & die for our salvation.
  • Because of that, we can be saved for all eternity.
  • Jesus has deep compassion for the Lost.
[SERIES SCRIPTURE]
“Jesus traveled through all the towns and villages of that area, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And He healed every kind of disease and illness.”  Matthew‬ ‭9‬:‭35‬ ‭
“Jesús recorrió todas las ciudades y aldeas de esa región, enseñando en las sinagogas y anunciando la Buena Noticia acerca del reino; y sanaba toda clase de enfermedades y dolencias.”  Mateo‬ ‭9‬:‭35‬
“When He saw the crowds, He had COMPASSION on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.”  Matthew‬ ‭9‬:‭36‬ ‭
“Cuando vio a las multitudes, les tuvo COMPASIÓN, porque estaban confundidas y desamparadas, como ovejas sin pastor.”  Mateo‬ ‭9‬:‭36‬ ‭
[The Lord] “…put on righteousness as His body armor and placed the helmet of salvation on His head. He clothed himself with a robe of vengeance and wrapped himself in a cloak of DIVINE PASSION.”  Isaiah‬ ‭59‬:‭17‬
“Se puso la justicia como coraza y se colocó en la cabeza el casco de salvación. Se vistió con una túnica de venganza y se envolvió en un manto de PASION DIVINA.”  Isaías‬ ‭59‬:‭17‬

MY PASSION FOR THE LOST KEEPS REVIVAL BURNING

MI PASIÓN POR LOS PERDIDOS MANTIENE ARDIENTE EL AVIVAMIENTO

PASSION OF THE MIDWIVES
LA PASIÓN DE LAS PARTERAS

[FOCUS SCRIPTURE]
But because the midwives feared God , they refused to obey the kings orders. They allowed the boys to live too.”  Exodus 1:17
“Sin embargo, como las parteras temían a Dios, se negaron a obedecer las órdenes del rey, y también dejaron vivir a los varoncitos.”  Éxodo‬ ‭1‬:‭17‬

[POWERPOINTS]
MIDWIVES JOB:
EL TRABAJO DE LAS PARTERAS:
  • A midwife is a lady who has experience in children being born.
  • She’s there to assist mom with the delivery and make sure both Mom and baby are ok.
  • These women had to have love for their job - seeing countless babies born.
  • Their passion was helping bring precious life into this world.
  • Preserving  life - the fear of God was greater than the fear of man ….

PHARAOH’S ORDERS:
LAS ÓRDENES DEL FARAÓN:
“Then Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, gave this order to Hebrew midwives Shiphrah and Puah:”. Exodus 1:15
“Después, el faraón, rey de Egipto, dio la siguiente orden a las parteras hebreas Sifra y Pua:”. Éxodo‬ ‭1‬:‭15‬
“When you help the Hebrew woman as they deliver…If the baby is a boy, kill him, If it is a girl, let her live.”  Exodus 1:16
“«Cuando ayuden a las mujeres hebreas en el parto…Si el bebé es niño, mátenlo; pero si es niña, déjenla vivir».”  Éxodo‬ ‭1‬:‭16‬

MIDWIVES’ BRAVERY:
LA VALENTÍA DE LAS PARTERAS:
3 Ex1:15,16,17
  • These two remarkable brave, fierce, courages women.
  • Their defiance against Pharaohs brutal decree to kill new born Hebrew baby boys.
  • Demonstrated their profound fear of God over the fear of man.
  • The God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob - The God  of wonders.
  • That’s the God they knew and were obedient even though it could cost them their life.

EXTREME PRESSURE:
PRESIÓN EXTREMA:
“So the king of Egypt called for the midwives. “Why have you done this?” he demanded. “Why have you allowed the boys to live?””  Exodus‬ ‭1‬:‭18‬ ‭
“Entonces el rey de Egipto mandó llamar a las parteras: —¿Por qué hicieron esto? —les preguntó—. ¿Por qué dejaron con vida a los varones?”  Éxodo‬ ‭1‬:‭18‬
  • Under this extreme pressure, they had to prepare an answer for the king.
  • These women knew God — sought God in prayer.
  • I firmly believe that GGod answered ….

ANSWERED PRAYERS:
ORACIONES CONTESTADAS:
““The Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women,” the midwives replied. “They are more vigorous and have their babies so quickly that we cannot get there in time.””  Exodus‬ ‭1‬:‭19‬ ‭
“—Las mujeres hebreas no son como las egipcias —contestaron ellas—, son más vigorosas y dan a luz con tanta rapidez que siempre llegamos tarde.”  Éxodo‬ ‭1‬:‭19‬ ‭

MIDWIVES’ PASSION FOR SAVING LIVES:
LA PASIÓN DE LAS PARTERAS POR SALVAR VIDAS:
  • Their passion on saving life’s, while risking their own life.
  • They feared God, more than man.
  • They had faith in God and trusted Him.
  • With a fiery spirit they took their believable response back to the king …..BAM!!
  • BAM!
  • They prevented a genocide — an elimination of Gods People.
[IMPETUS]
  • Ordinary women who possessed a courage that was remarkable.
  • In their actions they mirrored the very nature of God.
[CONCLUSION]
FIND YOUR VOICE, FIND YOUR PASSION, AND STAND FOR WHAT IS RIGHT. BAM!
ENCUENTRA TU VOZ, ENCUENTRA TU PASIÓN Y DEFIENDE LO CORRECTO. ¡BAM!

THE PASSION OF MIRIAM
LA PASIÓN DE MIRIAM
  • The Passion of Miriam, Moses’ Sister:
[INTRODUCTION]
  • In Exodus, much attention is rightly given to Moses, the great deliverer of Israel, and Aaron, the first high priest.
  • Yet, standing alongside these titans of faith is Miriam, their sister—a woman of remarkable courage, faith, and influence.
  • From her early days on the banks of the Nile to her leadership in the wilderness, Miriam’s passion for God and her people shines as a beacon for believers today.
  • Miriam’s life exemplifies the importance of faithfulness, worship, and humility in the presence ofGod.
MIRIAM THE PROPHETESS:  WORSHIP AND LEADERSHIP
MIRIAM LA PROFETISA: ADORACIÓN Y LIDERAZGO
  • After the miraculous crossing of the Red Sea, Miriam emerges as a leader and worshipper.
“Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took the timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.”  Exodus‬ ‭15‬:‭20‬ ‭
“Entonces Miriam la profetisa, hermana de Aarón, tomó un pandero en su mano, y todas las mujeres salieron en pos de ella con panderos y danzas.”   Éxodo‬ ‭15‬:‭20‬ ‭
“And Miriam answered them: “Sing to the Lord, For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea!””  Exodus‬ ‭15‬:‭21‬ ‭
“Y Miriam las dirigía diciendo: “¡Canten al SEÑOR, pues se ha enaltecido grandemente! ¡Ha arrojado al mar caballos y jinetes!”.”    Éxodo‬ ‭15‬:‭21‬
  • Here, we see Miriam is explicitly called a prophetess—the first woman in Scripture to bear this title.
  • Her song is the earliest recorded hymn in the Bible, celebrating God’s deliverance.
  • From these scriptures, we see several themes emerge:

1-PROPHETIC MINISTRY:
1-MINISTERIO PROFÉTICO:
  • Miriam’s title as prophetess affirms that God speaks through women as well as men.
  • Her song is not only poetry; it is an inspired proclamation, declaring the character and deeds of God.
2-THE ROLE OF WOMEN IN WORSHIP:  MIRIAM IS A PASSIONATE LEADER
2-EL PAPEL DE LA MUJER EN LA ADORACIÓN: MIRIAM ES UNA LÍDER APASIONADA
  • We can see the vital contributions of women in worship and spiritual leadership.
  • Miriam’s example demonstrates that women, under God’s authority, can lead others in praise and testify to His mighty acts.
  • Be willing to lead by example and demonstrate a passion for leadership.
3-THE IMPORTANCE OF WORSHIP:  MIRIAM IS A PASSIONATE WORSHIPPER
3-LA IMPORTANCIA DE LA ADORACIÓN: MIRIAM ES UNA ADORADORA APASIONADA
  • Miriam’s immediate response to God’s deliverance is worship.
  • Genuine passion for God is always expressed in praise, thanksgiving, and public testimony.
  • As Christians, we see worship as both a duty and a delight, the overflow of a grateful heart.
  • We need to lead a lifestyle of worship and thanksgiving.
  • Passion for God is not mere emotion, but a deep-seated commitment to honor Him in all circumstances.
  • We are called to cultivate hearts that overflow with praise, regardless of the challenges they face.
  • We must be passionate worshippers.
4-THE VALUE OF WOMEN IN GOD’S PLAN:  BE PASSIONATE ABOUT YOUR PLACE IN GOD
4-EL VALOR DE LA MUJER EN EL PLAN DE DIOS: SÉ APASIONADA POR TU LUGAR EN DIOS
  • While biblical distinctions affirm the indispensable role of women in God’s redemptive work…
  • Miriam stands alongside Deborah, Esther, Mary, and others as a testament to God’s use of women for His glory.
  • Be passionate about walking in your identity and place in God.
  • Know your place, know your identity as a daughter of God, and stay the course and walk in his perfect will.
  • Follow the plan.
5-FAITHFUL SERVICE:
5-SERVICIO FIEL:
  • Miriam’s early courage and later leadership exemplify faithful service.
  • She used her gifts to bless others and advance God’s purposes.
  • The New Testament calls every believer to serve according to the gifts given by the Holy Spirit.
“Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith;”  Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭6‬ ‭
“De manera que tenemos dones que varían según la gracia que nos ha sido concedida: Si es de profecía, úsese conforme a la medida de la fe;”  Romanos‬ ‭12‬:‭6‬
“or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching;”. Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭7‬
“si es de servicio, en servir; el que enseña, úselo en la enseñanza;”  Romanos‬ ‭12‬:‭7‬
“he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.”  Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭8‬ ‭
“el que exhorta, en la exhortación; el que comparte, con liberalidad; el que preside, con diligencia; y el que hace misericordia, con alegría.”  Romanos‬ ‭12‬:‭8‬ ‭
  • Let us be passionate about serving.

THE PASSION OF JAEL
LA PASIÓN DE JAEL

[INTRODUCTION]
  • With kindness and 4 things she killed the Commander of the Canaanite army Sisera.
  • Sisera wasn’t just anybody and yet he died at the hands of a women.
[MENTION]
Judges / Jueces 4:18-21
  • Later go back and read.
  • It starts with Jael welcoming Sisera in with kindness (don’t be afraid) and covered him with blanket.
  • Then gave him milk instead of water like he asked, now let’s look at:
[PASSIONATE KEY SCRIPTURE]
“But when Sisera fell asleep from exhaustion, Jael quietly crept up to him with a hammer and tent peg in her hand. Then she drove the tent peg through his temple and into the ground, and so he died.”  Judges‬ ‭4‬:‭21‬
“Pero cuando Sísara se durmió por tanto agotamiento, Jael se le acercó en silencio con un martillo y una estaca en la mano. Entonces le clavó la estaca en la sien hasta que quedó clavada en el suelo, y así murió.”  Jueces‬ ‭4‬:‭21‬
  • She used what she had to defeat the enemy.
  • With great passion and intention she DROVE the tent peg through his temple and out the other side then into the ground.
  • That’s passion right!?
  • Because of that passion it lead to victory for Israel — which was Gods will.
[IMPETUS]
  • Ask your self….what am I passionate about?
  • And does it align with Gods will?
[PASSIONATE POINTS]
  • Here’s why it’s important to be passionate and intentional about prayer
GOD IS ATTENTIVE
DIOS ESTÁ ATENTO
“Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭116‬:‭2‬ ‭
“Debido a que él se inclina para escuchar, ¡oraré mientras tenga aliento!”
‭‭Salmos‬ ‭116‬:‭2‬

BE INTENTIONAL
SE INTENCIONAL
  • Let’s pray with a heart that’s sincere and a heart that aligns with Gods will.
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”  1 John 5:14
“Esta es la confianza que tenemos al acercarnos a Dios: que, si pedimos cualquier cosa conforme a su voluntad, él nos oye.”  1 Juan‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬

[PASSIONATE CONCLUSION]
IF I’M GONNA BE PASSIONATE ABOUT SOMETHING I’M GOING TO BE PASSIONATE ABOUT PRAYER
SI VOY A APASIONARME POR ALGO, VOY A APASIONARME POR LA ORACIÓN

[PASSIONATE POWERPOINTS]
I - DELIVERED FOR A PURPOSE
     LIBERADA CON UN PROPÓSITO
  • Mary’s starting point was one of deep bondage—possessed by seven demons.
  • Mark / Marcos 16:9 and Luke / Lucas 8:2 both reference her deliverance.
  • Calling her Mary Magdalene (from who He had cast out seven demons).
  • Her freedom rather than her bondage had become part of her identity.
  • Jesus set her free, and her immediate response was to follow Him.
  • Her passion began where her deliverance took place.
  • Reflection Question: What has Jesus set you free from?
    • It doesn’t matter if it was today, yesterday or 10 years ago, Jesus has done SOMETHING for all of us.
    • Frankly, there are probably things that we don’t even know about.
    • Things He kept us from or kept from us and we aren’t even aware of the freedom we are experiencing because we did not have to go through those things.
    • E.i. a job that we didn’t get, a big financial purchase that fell through, a relationship that ended unexpectedly.
    • We tend to complain when things don’t go our way, forgetting that HIS ways are higher, HIS thoughts are higher.  Isaiah / Isaias 55
    • He IS able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think. Ephesians / Efesios 3:20.
    • So if He isn’t doing what we are asking or thinking, IT’S GOING TO BE BETTER.
    • If we can wait.

II - DEVOTED IN THE BACKGROUND
       DEDICADO EN EL TRASFONDO
“Soon afterward Jesus began a tour of the nearby towns and villages, preaching and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom of God. He took his twelve disciples with him,…”  Luke 8:1
“Poco después, Jesús comenzó un recorrido por las ciudades y aldeas cercanas, predicando y anunciando la Buena Noticia acerca del reino de Dios. Llevó consigo a sus doce discípulos,…”  Lucas‬ ‭8‬:‭1‬ ‭
“…along with some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases. Among them were Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons;…”  Luke 8:2
“…junto con algunas mujeres que habían sido sanadas de espíritus malignos y enfermedades. Entre ellas estaban María Magdalena, de quien él había expulsado siete demonios;…” Lucas‬ ‭8‬:‭2‬
“…Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod’s business manager; Susanna; and many others who were contributing from their own resources to support Jesus and his disciples.”  Luke 8:3
“Juana, la esposa de Chuza, administrador de Herodes; Susana; y muchas otras que contribuían con sus propios recursos al sostén de Jesús y sus discípulos.”  Lucas‬ ‭8‬:‭3‬
  • Mary Magdalene quietly and faithfully supported Jesus’ ministry.
  • She gave her time, her resources, and her energy—not out of obligation but out of love and passion.
  • Passion isn’t always loud; sometimes it shows up in faithful support.
    • There’s no record of her laying hands on the sick and seeing them recover or casting out demons.
    • She supported Jesus. As ministers, which if you are saved, you should be ministering/witnessing to others, we are not solely responsible for what God does in an individual’s life.
    • We are there to support what Jesus wants to do in their life.
    • We don’t get to decide God’s will for someone’s life.
    • We get to be a support for them and guide or point them TO Jesus.

III - PRESENT IN HIS PAIN
        PRESENTE EN SU DOLOR
“Standing near the cross…was Mary Magdalene.”  John 19:25
“Estaba de pie junto a la cruz…María Magdalena.”  Juan‬ ‭19‬:‭25‬
“Some women were there, watching from a distance…they had cared for him…”  Mark 15:40–41
“Algunas mujeres miraban de lejos…lo habían cuidado...”  Marcos‬ ‭15‬:‭40‬-‭41‬ ‭
  • Even when most of His disciples fled, Mary stayed.
  • Passion doesn’t run when things get hard—it remains.
  • She was devoted in Jesus’ darkest hour.
    • Are you well acquainted with the sacrifice that Jesus made for you?
    • Mary Magdalene was AT the cross.
    • She saw the beating, the hammering of the nails, the piercing of His side.
    • How long has it been since you thought about what Jesus went through on the cross?
    • Do you connect His death with your sin?

IV - PERSISTENT AFTER HIS DEATH
        PERSISTENTE DESPUÉS DE SU MUERTE
“…Mary Magdalene…purchased burial spices so they could anoint Jesus’ body.”  Mark 16:1
“…María Magdalena…[compro] especias para ungir el cuerpo de Jesús.”  Marcos‬ ‭16‬:‭1‬
  • She came not expecting a resurrection, but to honor Him in death.
  • Passion keeps going, even when hope seems lost.
  • Her love didn’t stop at the grave.
    • When everything is thriving, miracles are happening, people are getting set free, you’re getting “what you want”, passion is easy.
    • How is your passion when all seems lost.
    • When death seems to be trending in your life?
    • The thing that changed your life in the best way possible is no longer accessible, how’s your passion for Jesus?

V - CHOSEN TO WITNESS
       ELEGIDA PARA DAR TESTIMONIO
“After Jesus rose from the dead early on Sunday morning, the first person who saw him was Mary Magdalene, the woman from whom he had cast out seven demons.”  Mark 16:9
“Después de que Jesús resucitó el domingo por la mañana temprano, la primera persona que lo vio fue María Magdalena, la mujer de quien él había expulsado siete demonios.”  Marcos‬ ‭16‬:‭9‬
“She went to the disciples, who were grieving and weeping, and told them what had happened.”  Mark 16:10
“Ella fue a ver a los discípulos, quienes estaban lamentándose y llorando, y les dijo lo que había sucedido.”  Marcos‬ ‭16‬:‭10‬
“But when she told them that Jesus was alive and she had seen him, they didn’t believe her.”  Mark 16:11
“Sin embargo, cuando les dijo que Jesús estaba vivo y que lo había visto, ellos no le creyeron.”  Marcos‬ ‭16‬:‭11‬ ‭
“Mary was standing outside the tomb crying, and as she wept, she stooped and looked in.”  John 20:11
“Mary was standing outside the tomb crying, and as she wept, she stooped and looked in.”  John‬ ‭20‬:‭11‬
“She saw two white-robed angels, one sitting at the head and the other at the foot of the place where the body of Jesus had been lying.”  John 20:12
“Vio a dos ángeles vestidos con vestiduras blancas, uno sentado a la cabecera y el otro a los pies, en el lugar donde había estado el cuerpo de Jesús.”  Juan‬ ‭20‬:‭12‬ ‭
“Dear woman, why are you crying?” the angels asked her. “Because they have taken away my Lord,” she replied, “and I don’t know where they have put him.”   John 20:13
“—Apreciada mujer, ¿por qué lloras? —le preguntaron los ángeles. —Porque se han llevado a mi Señor —contestó ella—, y no sé dónde lo han puesto.”  Juan‬ ‭20‬:‭13‬ ‭
“She turned to leave and saw someone standing there. It was Jesus, but she didn’t recognize him.”  John 20:14
“Dio la vuelta para irse y vio a alguien que estaba de pie allí. Era Jesús, pero ella no lo reconoció.”  Juan‬ ‭20‬:‭14‬ ‭
“Dear woman, why are you crying?” Jesus asked her. “Who are you looking for?” She thought he was the gardener. “Sir,” she said, “if you have taken him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will go and get him.”  John 20:15
“—Apreciada mujer, ¿por qué lloras? —le preguntó Jesús—. ¿A quién buscas? Ella pensó que era el jardinero y le dijo: —Señor, si usted se lo ha llevado, dígame dónde lo puso, y yo iré a buscarlo.”  Juan‬ ‭20‬:‭15‬ ‭
“Mary!” Jesus said. She turned to him and cried out, “Rabboni!” (which is Hebrew for “Teacher”). John 20:16
“—¡María! —dijo Jesús. Ella giró hacia él y exclamó: —¡Raboní! (que en hebreo significa “Maestro”).”  Juan‬ ‭20‬:‭16‬ ‭
“Don’t cling to me,” Jesus said, “for I haven’t yet ascended to the Father. But go find my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”  John 20:17
“—No te aferres a mí —le dijo Jesús—, porque todavía no he subido al Padre; pero ve a buscar a mis hermanos y diles: “Voy a subir a mi Padre y al Padre de ustedes, a mi Dios y al Dios de ustedes”.” ‭‭Juan‬ ‭20‬:‭17‬
“Mary Magdalene found the disciples and told them, “I have seen the Lord!” Then she gave them his message.”  John 20:18
“María Magdalena encontró a los discípulos y les dijo: «¡He visto al Señor!». Y les dio el mensaje de Jesús.”  Juan‬ ‭20‬:‭18‬
  • Jesus chose her to be the first witness of the resurrection.
  • Her passion positioned her to experience resurrected glory.
  • —What if she decided, “Well, He’s dead..there’s nothing else for me to do.”
  • She became the first preacher of the full gospel—the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ!

[CLOSING CHALLENGE]
  • A life touched and transformed by Jesus is a life fueled by passionate devotion.
  • If our passion for Jesus and for the lost has diminished, we need a fresh touch and a continued transformation.
  • Let the memory of your deliverance drive you to a life of devotion.

PASSION FOR LEARNING
PASIÓN POR APRENDER

[SNIPPET]
Do you ever think back to a teacher who really got you, someone who pushed you, encouraged you, and made learning feel exciting?
That’s what reading the Bible feels like to me. Ever since I opened my heart to God’s Word, I keep learning something new every time I read it.
Have you experienced that too? Is the Bible still teaching you things today?

[INTRODUCTION]
  • We know Jesus as a great teacher.
  • He is called “teacher” forty-five times in the New Testament.
  • The Aramaic title “Rabbi” is used fourteen times of Jesus.
  • The people were amazed at his teaching, for he taught with real authority.
  • At the age of twelve, sitting among teachers in the temple, “He listen and asked questions.”
  • We know of His childhood that He “grew in wisdom” as He grew “in stature.”
  • “He learned obedience from the things he suffered” Jesus was a lifelong learner.

[KEY SCRIPTURE]
Every day Jesus went to the Temple to teach… Luke 21:37 a
Lucas 21:37 a
The crowds gathered at the Temple early each morning to hear him. Luke 21:38
Lucas 21:38
·         During the week before his sacrifice on the cross he was teaching.

[PASSIONATE POINTS]
THE HEART OF THE PSALMIST
EL CORAZÓN DEL SALMISTA
Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.    Psalms 25:4-5
Salmo 25:4-5

WHAT JESUS IS ASKING FROM US
LO QUE JESÚS NOS PIDE
Matt 11: 28-30
28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, (and learn from Me) because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

LEARNING ATTITUDE
ACTITUD DE APRENDIZAJE
Be OPEN to learn.
A child is open, and therefore constantly learning. Everything is new to him.
As adults, many of us lose this sense of wonder and curiosity that children have.
1Peter 2:2-3
…as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation, …
Cry out for this nourishment, now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness.

1 Pedro 2:2-3

[APLICATION]
God is ready to show us the way as we read, meditate and study His Word.
Through my relationship with Jesus, he instructs me. He teaches me how to think, how to speak, and how to walk every day.
Peter’s instructions serve as a reminder that what we desire and consume profoundly impacts our spiritual growth.
This command means we must learn to desire the undiluted word of God, as a newborn craves milk.

[CONCLUSION]
When I reflect on His Word, my passion, my desire to learn grows.

The Passion of Noah
La Pasión de Noe

[PASSIONATE SCRIPTURE]
Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence.   Genesis 6:11

So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth.   Genesis 6:13

[APPLICATION]
  1. In the same way God  is calling us to be passionate.

La Pasión de David
The Passion of David

[PASSIONATE SCRIPTURE]
“Añadió David: Jehová, que me ha librado de las garras del león y de las garras del oso, él también me librará de la mano de este filisteo. Y dijo Saúl a David: Ve, y Jehová esté contigo.”  1 Samuel‬ ‭17‬:‭37‬ ‭ “Moreover David said, “The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you!””  I Samuel‬ ‭17‬:‭37‬ ‭

[INTRODUCTION]

HIS FAITH
“Añadió David: Jehová, que me ha librado de las garras del león y de las garras del oso, él también me librará de la mano de este filisteo. Y dijo Saúl a David: Ve, y Jehová esté contigo.”  1 Samuel‬ ‭17‬:‭37‬ ‭
“Moreover David said, “The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you!””  I Samuel‬ ‭17‬:‭37‬ ‭
“Entonces habló David a los que estaban junto a él, diciendo: ¿Qué harán al hombre que venciere a este filisteo, y quitare el oprobio de Israel? Porque ¿quién es este filisteo incircunciso, para que provoque a los escuadrones del Dios viviente?”  1 Samuel‬ ‭17‬:‭26‬ ‭
“Then David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying, “What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?””  I Samuel‬ ‭17‬:‭26‬

ERA UN AMANTE DE LA PRESENCIA DE DIOS
HE WAS A LOVER OF THE PRESENCE OF GOD
“No me eches de delante de ti, Y no quites de mí tu santo Espíritu.”  Salmos‬ ‭51‬:‭11‬ ‭
“Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.”  Psalms‬ ‭51‬:‭11‬ ‭
“Vuélveme el gozo de tu salvación, Y espíritu noble me sustente.”  Salmos‬ ‭51‬:‭12‬ ‭
“Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.”  Psalms‬ ‭51‬:‭12‬ ‭

ERA UN ADORADOR
HE WAS A WORSHIPPER
“Y cuando el espíritu malo de parte de Dios venía sobre Saúl, David tomaba el arpa y tocaba con su mano; y Saúl tenía alivio y estaba mejor, y el espíritu malo se apartaba de él.”  1 Samuel‬ ‭16‬:‭23‬ ‭
“And so it was, whenever the spirit from God was upon Saul, that David would take a harp and play it with his hand. Then Saul would become refreshed and well, and the distressing spirit would depart from him.”  I Samuel‬ ‭16‬:‭23‬
[CONCLUSION]
SEÑOR, DAME MÁS PASIÓN POR TI

LORD, GIVE ME MORE PASSION FOR YOU

A FATHER’S PASSION
“How do fathers react when their children mess up?”

[PASSIONATE SCRIPTURE]
“So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with LOVE and COMPASSION, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.”  Luke‬ ‭15‬:‭20‬
“Entonces regresó a la casa de su padre, y cuando todavía estaba lejos, su padre lo vio llegar. Lleno de AMOR y de COMPASIÓN, corrió hacia su hijo, lo abrazó y lo besó.”  Lucas‬ ‭15‬:‭20‬

[PASSIONATE POINTS]
  • Fathers often react to their children's mistakes with a range of emotions and behaviors.

DAD’S REACTION:  Frustration, Anger, and Disappointment
LA REACCIÓN DE PAPÁ: Frustración, Enojo, y Decepción

From REACTION TO RESPONSE:  Encouragement, Guidance, and Celebrate Success
De La REACCIÓN A LA RESPUESTA: Ánimo, Orientación, y Celebración del Éxito

EACH DAD IS DIFFERENT:  Strict, Lenient, Personality, and Parenting Style
CADA PAPÁ ES DIFERENTE: Estricto, Indulgente, Personalidad, y Estilo de Crianza.

Dad, Be Consistent:  Discipline Effectively and Avoiding Harsh Discipline
Papá, Sé Consistente: Disciplina Eficazmente y Evita la Disciplina Severa

“Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord.”  Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭4‬
“Padres, no hagan enojar a sus hijos con la forma en que los tratan. Más bien, críenlos con la disciplina e instrucción que proviene del Señor.”  Efesios‬ ‭6‬:‭4‬ ‭

[APPLICATION]
  • As a father, you want to do things right.
  • A healthy father-child relationship involves a balance - a balance of discipline and guidance.
  • But in that balance there has to be compassion.
  • The father of the prodigal son is a deep reminder of how we, as fathers, could respond.
  • A typical comment is “a compassionate father did not raise me.”
  • But now YOU have your Heavenly Father’s compassion in you.
  • You have the compassion to do things right.
[CONCLUSION]
MY FATHER’S PASSION WILL HELP ME DO THINGS RIGHT
LA PASIÓN DE MI PADRE ME AYUDARÁ A HACER LAS COSAS BIEN

[PASSIONATE POWERPOINTS]
FIERY PASSION
PASIÓN ARDIENTE
“Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem, and sent messengers before His face. And as they went, they entered a village of the Samaritans, to prepare for Him.”  Luke‬ ‭9‬:‭51‬-‭52‬ ‭
“Cuando se cumplió el tiempo en que él había de ser recibido arriba, afirmó su rostro para ir a Jerusalén. Y envió mensajeros delante de él, los cuales fueron y entraron en una aldea de los samaritanos para hacerle preparativos.”  Lucas‬ ‭9‬:‭51‬-‭52‬
“But they did not receive Him, because His face was set for the journey to Jerusalem. And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?””  Luke‬ ‭9‬:‭53‬-‭54‬ ‭
“Pero no lo recibieron, porque su intención era ir a Jerusalén. Al ver esto, Jacobo y Juan, sus discípulos, le dijeron: —Señor, ¿quieres que mandemos que descienda fuego del cielo, como hizo Elías, y los consuma?”  Lucas‬ ‭9‬:‭53‬-‭54‬ ‭
“But He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.” And they went to another village.”  Luke‬ ‭9‬:‭55‬-‭56‬ ‭
“Entonces, volviéndose él, los reprendió diciendo: —Vosotros no sabéis de qué espíritu sois, porque el Hijo del hombre no ha venido para perder las almas de los hombres, sino para salvarlas. Y se fueron a otra aldea.”  Lucas‬ ‭9‬:‭55‬-‭56‬ ‭

REFINED PASSION
PASIÓN REFINADA
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.”  John‬ ‭15‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭
“Yo soy la vid verdadera, y mi Padre es el labrador. Todo pámpano que en mí no lleva fruto, lo quitará; y todo aquel que lleva fruto, lo limpiará, para que lleve más fruto.”  Juan 15‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭

“Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other.”  Titus‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬ ‭
“En otro tiempo nosotros también éramos necios y desobedientes. Fuimos engañados y nos convertimos en esclavos de toda clase de pasiones y placeres. Nuestra vida estaba llena de maldad y envidia, y nos odiábamos unos a otros.”  Tito‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬ ‭
“But— When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.”  Titus‬ ‭3‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭

Tito‬ ‭3‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭

[CONCLUSION]
LORD, REFINE MY FIERY PASSION FOR YOUR GLORY, THAT I MAY MOVE IN LOVE
SEÑOR, REFINA MI PASIÓN ARDIENTE POR TU GLORIA, PARA QUE PUEDA MOVERME EN AMOR

THE PASSION TO SERVE
LA PASIÓN PARA SERVIR

[PASSIONATE SCRIPTURE]
  • Mat. 20:20-28, Jesus teaches on serving others.
“Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave.”  Matthew‬ ‭20‬:‭26‬-‭27‬ ‭
Mateo‬ ‭20‬:‭26‬-‭27‬
“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”  Matthew‬ ‭20‬:‭28‬ ‭
“Pues ni aun el Hijo del Hombre vino para que le sirvan, sino para servir a otros y para dar su vida en rescate por muchos».”  Mateo‬ ‭20‬:‭28‬ ‭

[PASSIONATE POINTS]
SERVE “gr diakoneó”:  To care for the needs of others as the Lord guides.
  • I thank the Lord for our church.
  • The Fountain is a church that serves.
  • Those who serve, at whatever capacity, make the ministry of this church possible.
    • Couple – thank you for all you do - “I'm here to serve.”
    • Pastor - thank you for all you do - “your welcome Apostle, my pleasure to serve.”
    • Leaders - thank you for all you do - “I know I could do more, help me Jesus.”
  • The Lord guides, especially when we care for the needs of others.
  • It takes passion to be a Church that serves.

IT TAKES PASSION TO SERVE OTHERS
SE NECESITA PASIÓN PARA SERVIR A LOS DEMÁS
  • It takes desire and enthusiasm to serve others.
  • Serving others doesn't always come easy.
  • It doesn’t come naturally to everyone.
  • Serving others requires effort, intention, and a willingness to overcome challenges.
    • Joshua served Moses 40 years - ministered.
    • Ruth served her mother-in-law - provider.
    • Tabitha always did kind things for others.
    • Paul said he become a slave to all people.
    • Jesus cooked fish for 7 disciples.
    • Jesus served 12/24/240 - washed disciples feet.
“You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and you are right, because that’s what I am. And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other’s feet. I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you.”  John‬ ‭13‬:‭13‬-‭15‬
“Ustedes me llaman “Maestro” y “Señor” y tienen razón, porque es lo que soy. Y, dado que yo, su Señor y Maestro, les he lavado los pies, ustedes deben lavarse los pies unos a otros. Les di mi ejemplo para que lo sigan. Hagan lo mismo que yo he hecho con ustedes.”  Juan‬ ‭13‬:‭13‬-‭15‬
  • Next day He lays down His life for them.
  • Easy or not, it takes passion to serve others.

WE LIVE TO SERVE
VIVIMOS PARA SERVIR
Whoever doesn’t live to serve, doesn’t need to live!
  • A life with meaning is one dedicated to serving others.
  • It’s contributing to something larger than oneself.
  • On the contrary, a life solely focused on self-interest lacks fulfillment and purpose.
“At the end of life we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made, how many great things we have done. We will be judged by “I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was naked and you clothed me. I was homeless, and you took me in.”  Mother Teresa
Madre Teresa
  • That’s a passionate life - to serve others.
“God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.”  1 Peter‬ ‭4‬:‭10‬ ‭
“Dios, de su gran variedad de dones espirituales, les ha dado un don a cada uno de ustedes. Úsenlos bien para servirse los unos a los otros.” ‭‭1 Pedro‬ ‭4‬:‭10‬

“For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.”  Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭13‬ ‭
“Pues ustedes, mis hermanos, han sido llamados a vivir en libertad; pero no usen esa libertad para satisfacer los deseos de la naturaleza pecaminosa. Al contrario, usen la libertad para servirse unos a otros por amor.”  Gálatas‬ ‭5‬:‭13‬

“For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by serving other believers, as you still do.”  Hebrews 6:10
“Pues Dios no es injusto. No olvidará con cuánto esfuerzo han trabajado para él y cómo han demostrado su amor por él sirviendo a otros creyentes como todavía lo hacen.”  Hebreos‬ ‭6‬:‭10‬

[APPLICATION]
  • You are saved to serve - want to or not.
  • Spirit of God is in you to guide you in serving others.
  • The more you serve the easier it becomes.
  • And before you know it, you will have a desire and enthusiasm to serve others, MORE.
  • That!  is passion to serve.

[CONCLUSION]
I WILL SERVE GOD AND OTHERS WITH MORE PASSION
SERVIRÉ A DIOS Y A LOS DEMÁS CON MÁS PASIÓN

THE PASSION OF APOLLOS
LA PASIÓN DE APOLOS

[PRESENTATION]
  • Think bout those that helped you grow spiritually.
  • Did you humble yourself to let speak truth in you?
  • Did you adore God by you being teachable.
  • A verse as I was studying on Apollos.
“My people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being a priest for me. Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.”  Hosea 4:6
“pues por falta de conocimiento mi pueblo ha sido destruido. »Puesto que rechazaste el conocimiento, yo también te rechazo como mi sacerdote. Ya que te olvidaste de la Ley de tu Dios, yo también me olvidaré de tus hijos.” ‭‭Oseas‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬
  • Hard teaching - keep in the back of your head.
  • By end of service connect verse with message.
[BACKGROUND]
  • Apollos was so influential that some scholars believe he may have written the book of Hebrews
  • Apollo’s impact was so great Paul addresses it.
“One of you says, “I follow Paul”; another, “I follow Apollos”; another, “I follow Cephas (Peter)”; still another, “I follow Christ.””  1 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭12‬
“Me refiero a que unos dicen: «Yo sigo a Pablo»; otros afirman: «Yo, a Apolos»; otros: «Yo, a Cefas» (Pedro); y otros: «Yo, a Cristo».”  1 Corintios‬ ‭1‬:‭12‬ ‭
  • Paul then asks - Is Christ divided?
  • People were pledging loyalty to the preachers.
  • This is how important & passionate this man was.
[PASSIONATE FOCUS]
THE PASSION OF APOLLOS
LA PASIÓN DE APOLOS
  • Apollos was a Jewish man born in Alexandria, Egypt - passionate follower of the teachings of John the Baptist.
  • These were people who didn’t fully understand the whole message - Baptism of Holy Spirit and Salvation through Jesus Christ.
”Now a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man and mighty in the Scriptures, came to Ephesus.”  Acts 18:24
“Por aquel entonces llegó a Éfeso un judío llamado Apolos, natural de Alejandría. Era un hombre elocuente y poderoso en el uso de las Escrituras.”  Hechos‬ ‭18‬:‭24‬
  • “Eloquent” - Google said.
“Eloquent”: Describes someone or something that expresses ideas or feelings clearly, effectively, and often with beauty and grace.
“Elocuente”: describe a alguien o algo que expresa ideas o sentimientos con claridad, eficacia y, a menudo, con belleza y gracia.
  • It implies a skillful & persuasive use of language - 5 categories:
Fluent and Expressive / Fluido y Expresivo
Persuasive / Persuasivo
Graceful and Beautiful / Agraciado y Hermoso
Powerful / Poderoso
Effective / Efectivo
“This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things of the Lord, though he knew only the baptism of John.”  Acts 18:25
“Había sido instruido en el camino del Señor, y ferviente en espíritu, y enseñaba con la mayor exactitud acerca de Jesús, aunque conocía solo el bautismo de Juan.”  Hechos‬ ‭18‬:‭25‬
  • “Fervent” - Google said.
“Fervent in spirit”: means to have a deep, burning and enthusiastic passion, often specifically directed toward spiritual matters or serving a higher purpose.
“Ferviente en espíritu”: significa tener una pasión profunda, ardiente y entusiasta, a menudo dirigida específicamente hacia asuntos espirituales o hacia un propósito superior.
  • It’s about having an intense inner drive and zeal that fuels your actions and attitudes.
  • 5 different categories:
Intense Zeal and Enthusiasm / Intenso Celo y Entusiasmo
Deep Sincerity / Sinceridad Profunda
Active and Diligent / Activo y Diligente
Spiritual Connection / Conexión Espiritual
Wholeness of Being / Plenitud del Ser

[REFLECTION]
  • Yoke of Jesus Christ is not about you anymore.
  • It’s not about how much you love God, but how much God loves you.
  • That yoke is no longer heavy, it brings great joy.
  • You want to walk & talk & think like Christ.
  • You want to be Christ like?
  • Back to Apollo’s and being fervent in spirit.
  • Although Apollo’s didn’t have complete understanding, God still used him.
  • He directed people towards that narrow path leading into eternal salvation.
  • So I tell you, regardless of how much you think you know, or don’t know, Holy Spirit will use you.
  • But don’t be complacent.
  • Keep feeding yourself the Word of God.
  • Sign up for the Bible Studies.
  • I’m two years deep, I love it.
  • Even though all that was written about Apollos, was it enough for him to be able to deliver The Message of The Lord Jesus Christ?
  • NO, He was still not fully equipped to lead or to teach the full message of Jesus.
  • The song says “If am not dead he’s not done, greater things are still to come, ohh I believe.”
  • So enter some tentmakers.
“So he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.”  Acts 18:26
“Comenzó a hablar valientemente en la sinagoga. Al oírlo Priscila y Aquila, lo tomaron a su cargo y le explicaron con mayor precisión el camino de Dios.” Hechos‬ ‭18‬:‭26‬

[REFLECTION]
  • This is what amazed me about this man.
  • The humbleness he displayed left me at aw.
  • I was moved & so happy - my heart got full of joy.
  • Not because he was eloquent & fervent in spirit.
  • Not because he was educated.
  • Not because he might’ve written Hebrews.
  • Not because he was an impact in early church.
  • But because he showed how much he adored God with a passion by humbling himself to receive the Knowledge Of God.
  • Allowing himself to grow and mature spiritually.
  • Growing in the Jesus Christ he showed himself being open minded and desire to grow in his faith.

[APPLICATION]
  • Let’s be like Apollos & humble our selves.
  • (Acts 18:26) is a good example of knowing your function in the body of Christ.
  • Apostle Bob said this past Sunday to serve one another in the body of Christ.
  • Aquila & Pricilla knew their function in the body of Christ by taking Apollos & completed him in the message of Jesus - so that he could serve & edify.
  • These three helped in strengthening the church - the body of Christ.
“And when he desire to cross to Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him; and when he arrived, he greatly helped those who had believed through grace.”  Acts 18:27
“Como Apolos quería pasar a Acaya, los hermanos lo animaron y escribieron a los discípulos de allá para que lo recibieran. Cuando llegó, ayudó mucho a quienes por la gracia habían creído,”
‭‭Hechos‬ ‭18‬:‭27‬ ‭

“For he vigorously refuted the Jews publicly, showing from the Scriptures that Jesus is the Christ.”  Acts 18:28
“Pues el refutaba vigorosamente en público a los judíos, demostrando por las Escrituras que Jesús es el Cristo.”  Hechos‬ ‭18‬:‭28‬ ‭
[KEY POINTS]
  1. The fear of the Lord will keep you in that narrow path of eternal salvation. Do you not think that Apollos being mighty in Scripture did not know about (Hosea 4:6)?
  2. Do you adore God passionately enough that you will humble yourself and make yourself teachable in the knowledge of your Creator?
  3. Without knowledge, there’s no passion. Without passion, there’s no revival. So let’s get into the Word and fuel our passion for God.
[CONCLUSION]
MAY I ADORE GOD ENOUGH TO HUMBLE MYSELF AND BE TEACHABLE IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE LORD WITH A PASSION
QUE PUEDA ADORAR A DIOS LO SUFICIENTEMENTE PARA HUMILLARME Y SER ENSEÑABLE EN EL CONOCIMIENTO DEL SEÑOR CON PASIÓN

THE PASSION FOR TOLERANCE
“The enthusiasm to put up with people”
LA PASIÓN POR LA TOLERANCIA
“El entusiasmo de soportar a la gente”
[PASSIONATE SCRIPTURE]
“And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.”  Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭15‬
"Y que la paz que viene de Cristo gobierne en sus corazones. Pues, como miembros de un mismo cuerpo, ustedes son llamados a vivir en paz. Y sean siempre agradecidos.”  Colosenses‬ ‭3‬:‭15‬

[SNIPPET]
Have you ever had to tolerate somebody?
  • Putting up with people is a daily reality.
  • People are people & being difficult comes easy.
  • Our challenge is to elevate to tolerate.
  • Knowing that one day somebody is gonna have to tolerate with us.

[PASSIONATE POINTS]
PEOPLE CAN BE SO UNBEARABLE
LA GENTE PUEDE SER TAN INSOPORTABLE
  • People can be perceived as difficult for a variety of reasons:
    • Personality Traits (rasgos) - stubborn, confrontational, or overly critical - can be a challenge.
    • Communication Skills - direct vs. indirect - can lead to misunderstandings.
    • Stress - work, family, etc. - can make people difficult to deal with.
    • Other Reasons include - Past Trauma, Abuse, Unresolved Conflicts, Personal Problems, Relationships, etc.
    • Attention Seekers - the use of manipulation so as to be seen or heard.
  • People ARE difficult!
  • So, how can we have a passion for tolerating them? …
  • …an enthusiasm to put up with the unbearable?

HOW DO I PUT UP WITH ______!
¿CÓMO PUEDO SOPORTAR A ______?
  • How do we get to that place of having a passion for tolerance?
    • You gotta know who you are.
“God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.”  Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭12‬ ‭
“Dado que Dios los eligió para que sean su pueblo santo y amado por él, ustedes tienen que vestirse de tierna compasión, bondad, humildad, gentileza y paciencia.”  Colosenses‬ ‭3‬:‭12‬, ‭24‬
    • You must practice forgiveness always.
“Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.”  Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭13‬ ‭
“Sean comprensivos con las faltas de los demás y perdonen a todo el que los ofenda. Recuerden que el Señor los perdonó a ustedes, así que ustedes deben perdonar a otros.”  Colosenses‬ ‭3‬:‭13‬ ‭
    • You have to accept it’s a continuing effort.
“Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.”  Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭14‬ ‭
“Sobre todo, vístanse de amor, lo cual nos une a todos en perfecta armonía.”  Colosenses‬ ‭3‬:‭14‬
    • You must determine to reign in peace now.
“And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.”  Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭15‬ ‭
“Y que la paz que viene de Cristo gobierne en sus corazones. Pues, como miembros de un mismo cuerpo, ustedes son llamados a vivir en paz. Y sean siempre agradecidos.”  Colosenses‬ ‭3‬:‭15‬
  • This is how we put up with so-and-so, and we do so with a passion for tolerating them.

TOLERATE WITH PURPOSE
TOLERA CON PROPÓSITO
“…Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives…And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus...”  Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭17‬
“…Enséñense y aconséjense unos a otros con toda la sabiduría que él da…Y todo lo que hagan o digan, háganlo como representantes del Señor Jesús...”  Colosenses‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭
  • Teaching - A Gift of Knowledge - to help someone know how to stop being intolerable.
  • Counsel - Encouraging Advice - to not just open the eyes of the intolerable, but give them hope.
  • Representatives of Jesus - Prince of Peace - Commissioned to peace / quiet answers.
  • This is Tolerate w/ Purpose - when there’s purpose there is God.
“Now listen to me, and let me give you a word of advice, and may God be with you...”  Exodus‬ ‭18‬:‭19‬ ‭
“Ahora escúchame y déjame darte un consejo, y que Dios esté contigo.”  Éxodo‬ ‭18‬:‭19‬

[APPLICATION]
  • So, do you have passion for tolerance?
  • We know God does-He demonstrates it every day.
  • And you demonstrate tolerance every day, also.
  • Why?  Because you know who you are.
  • That’s why you do your best to forgive.
  • You do try to live in peace with everybody. Right?
[MY ADVICE]
  • More of God & you’ll be able to tolerate more.
[CONCLUSION]
I HAVE THE PASSIONATE AND QUIET ABILITY TO BE MORE TOLERANT AND PUT UP WITH EEEEEEVERYTHING
TENGO LA CAPACIDAD APASIONADA Y APACIBLE DE SER MÁS TOLERANTE Y SOPORTAR TOOOOOODO
