FEBRUARY WORD INTRODUCTION
  • There are things in this life that are natural for us to defend — Our:  Lives, Family and our Country. 
  • These things go without question and we should defend them - when needed. 
  • They are precious to us.
  • Something I find myself defending more, now in days, is my church - Her People. 
  • Matthew 21:12-13 - Jesus saw that…
    • God’s people, the Passover Worshipers, we’re being robbed by the money changers. 
    • Believers with foreign currency. 
    • Jesus is consumed with zeal for His house AND for His People. 
    • He calls the money changers thieves — turns over their tables. 
  • I read a “not nice” social media post (una publicación en las redes sociales) concerning church people in general. 
  • And “birds of a feather” made their comments.
  • First it concerned me - then it began to bellyache me. 
  • I prayed - then holy anger arose - finally, I got inspiration. 
  • This person, beyond what they probably intended, is talking about My Church - My people - Me. 
  • What is the Church is?
  • The Church is nothing more nor less than:
    • People saved, healed, & delivered by God. 
    • God’s people - my:  People; Family; Friends; Fellow Ministers. 
    • My eternal Family that loves me AND prays for me. 
    • My people - My life - my life’s work. 
  • How dare anybody mess (meterte) with God’s Church, His People, My People.

INTRODUCTION
  • Love is worth defending. 
  • It is so genuine, so real, so worth it.
  • But what is it?  And why defend it?
  • Faith says “God is love.”
  • Considering how many things we love, it’s really to our advantage to be defending love. 

THE FAITH STANCE IS GOD IS LOVE

  • What we know about Love is God — SOURCE. 
“let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God...” - 1 John‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭

  • Our ability to comes from God — EVIDENCE. 
“But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” - 1 John‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭

  • God proves His love — ACTION
“God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son...” - 1 John‬ ‭4:9‬ ‭

  • God will always be the greatest representation of true love — that’s why we stand in Faith on Him. 

WHY DEFEND LOVE?

  • Defending love is defending all it represents. 
  • This is for our benefit. 
  • No one can or will ever love as God does. 
  • His love is pure, unadulterated, & unconditional. 
“God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” - Romans‬ ‭5:8‬ ‭

  • When we defend Love, we Ally ourselves to God. 
  • We unite to the One who loves us perfectly, He knowing that we’re incapable of the same. 
  • We join to the One who’s working in us.
“if we love each other, God lives in us, and His love is brought to full expression in us.” - 1 John‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭

  • When we are Defending Love we are defending the representation & work He’s doing in us.

HUMAN LOVE PERFECTED IS A FORCE 
AMOR HUMANO PERFECCIONADO ES UNA FUERZA
  • Human love - The emotion given to us by God. 
  • What we use to give & receive affection.
  • Imagine - think about this - what would we be able to do with God’s Love perfected in us?
“Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels [casts out; drives out] all fear...” - 1 John‬ ‭4:18‬ ‭
“En esa clase de amor no hay temor, porque el amor perfecto expulsa [echa fuera; empuja] todo temor...” - 1 Juan‬ ‭4:18‬ ‭
  • We can love as God loves.
  • We can help strengthen & restore people. 
  • We can conquer forces that rise up. 
  • We can endure life’s many sacrifices. 
  • We can confront and be taken seriously. 
  • We can influence & not be forgotten. 
  • In other words, human love perfected WILL NOT be ignored —  it’s too powerful — too perfect. 

APPLICATION
  • Who do you love?  What do you love?
  • If you answered, you have force within — Love. 
  • And that love perfected can go and do way beyond where it goes and does now. 
  • It’ll be genuine affection - real love - not an empty Valentine’s heart with no chocolates. 
  • How?  By rising to this challenge — Be part of those who are Defending Love.

THE NATIONS ARE UNITED

  • The Call for Nations to Unite is Prevalent. 
  • Salvation of Humanity & Jewish people. 
  • Ukraine (67% Christian; 400K Jews)
  • Israel and the World Prays for Peace. 
  • A Jewish Defender has Risen. 

FALSE LEADERSHIP GOVERNS ALREADY

  • Self-serving Patriotism.
  • Fearful and frustrated Acts of Kindness. 
  • False PROPHETS (One who speaks for God, for someone else, or for self-interests)

THE CHURCH IS ALIVE FOR A TIME LIKE THIS

  • We’re all ordered to speak The Message:  John; Peter; Thomas. 
  • The prodigals are coming home:  
    • Ready to embrace like the father. 
    • Ready to encourage unlike the older brother. 
  • While we are saved, and on this earth, appreciate that we are enjoying the blessings, love, and peace of having Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of our lives.  
  • Have the heart of of our heavenly Father who loves the whole world. 
  • Have the heart of Jesus Christ who did not come in to the world to condemn the world.
“For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” - John‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭

  •  We are alive to speak to our world.
  • The Message must be Believed by YOU, first. 
  • The Message must be spoken as if it were NEW. 
  • Jesus Christ is coming already & He loves us all.

‭INTRODUCTION
  • God wants us to experience “UNITY”. 
  • Just as Jesus & the Father are United, He wants you & I to be United. 
  • Not only that, He wants Us to be United with Him.
  • He refers to this union as “perfect unity”. 
  • What: a powerfully divine process; an experience. 
  • In the middle of all going on, we can experience & reflect unity — something worth defending. 
  • What is the Unity of God?
GOD IS ONE—UNITED

  • Genesis to Revelation - Holy Spirit is Present.

  • The presence of uniquely Divine entities is very biblical.
  • “ONE” - hb “ekh-awd” - “Perfect Unity, Eternal”
  • “God is one” - powerful testimony of three unique entities always:  united; working together; same purpose — that’s why God is amazingly powerful. 
  • That’s why every nation seeks an ally. 
  • Every government & corporation seeks mergers. 
  • Every family & Church is stronger when it is One. 
  • How can you and I unite - even more?

  • Brazil - INRI Cristo - mainly women followers
  • England - David Shayler / Dolores Kane 
  • Japan - Jesus Matayoshi - suicide
  • S. Africa - Moses Hlongwane - known king of kings, lord of lords, or simply Jesus. 
  • Russia - Vissarion  - gives new life - 5,000 
  • Waco, Texas - David Korean - next messiah. 
  • People NEED a Savior.

  • The Savior is in the heart of every believer, family & church that is respectful and United. 
  • THAT is the Savior the world needs, wants, & will receive through you and me. 
APPLICATION
  • Good news! You’re not the savior. 
  • You can, however, be A Defender. 
  • Defend the unity between you and God. 
  • In that strength of unity, you can defend unity in:  family, work place, church, & so much more.
  • You are United to Jesus Christ, the Savior. 
  • Defend that Unity!

  • Blessing for enduring cost - negative responses. 
  • Christ - example of giving everything for Faith.

  • Cost of defending - ask a soldier - homeland. 
  • Christ the example - knew mission - Know ours!

6 - DEFENDING WITH TESTIMONY

  • 1 Timothy‬ ‭/ Timoteo 6:13 -good Christ testimony. 
  • Hypocrisy is obvious and highly avoided. 
  • Value & Strengthen a good testimony - keep face.  

7 - DEFENDING THE CAUSE OF JESUS CHRIST

  • Isaiah / Isaias 1:17 — many causes to fight for. 
  • Good Cause begins with defending life - relevant. 
  • Strategy - God’s armor - defend greatest cause. 

8 - DEFENDING UNITY
      DEFENDIENDO LA UNIDAD
  • John / Juan 17:23 — perfect Unity for all. 
  • God’s One as every family, church, & country can. 
  • Respect - strengthens unity - example seen. 
APPLICATION
  • You are alive to defend - You can do this!
  • God is with you — Holy Spirit is in you. 
    • From your Faith to your Church. 
    • From your Marriage to your Family. 
    • From a Worthy Cause to your Ministry Call. 
    • From your City to your Country. 
  • This is life with purpose – This is reason to live.
  • For this you have been saved. 
  • For this God has given you life. 
  • So that WITH the Holy Spirit you CAN, and you WILL DEFEND, THAT, which is most precious.
