LA UNCIÓN & LA COMUNIÓN
“It was now two days before Passover…While [Jesus] was eating, a woman came in with a beautiful alabaster jar of expensive perfume made from essence of nard. She broke open the jar and poured the perfume over his head…She has done what she could and has anointed my body for burial ahead of time.” - Mark 14:1, 3, 8
- Marcos 14:1, 3, 8
“Then they sang a hymn and went out to the Mount of Olives…He told them, “My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.” He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”” - Matthew 26:30, 38-39
- Mateo 26:30, 38-39

ANOINTED AUTHORITY
AUTORIDAD UNGIDA
Mark 6:7-13 In this passage of scripture, the anointing represents authority. Matt 10 Lk 9
7And he called his twelve disciples together and began sending them out two by two, giving them authority to cast out evil spirits. 12So the disciples went out, telling everyone they met to repent of their sins and turn to God. 13And they cast out many demons and healed many sick people, anointing them with olive oil.
First missionary trip. “to send” (phrase - to send = apostello variation verb form the word apostleship)
APOSTLE is one who is sent.
Disciples (learner a student)
Apostles (are commissioned by the master, and to whom the master designates his own authority)
Jesus is the supreme Apostle John 12:49
I don’t speak on my own authority. The Father who sent me has commanded me what to say and how to say it.
Why two by two? Involves companionship, partnership but it also goes back to the principal of the OT Dt 17:6 where something is stablished as true if testimony is given by two witnesses.
Christ the Anointed gives his disciples, power, and authority to go: (Authorizes-Empowers Them)
POWER OF ATORNY / CARTA PODER LEGAL
Mk 8:23 The Blind Man at Bethsaida (spitting on the man’s eyes)
Jn 9:6 Healing of the Man Born Blind (He made mud with saliva and anointed his eyes).

When we are anointed:
The Anointing flowed because of their Commitment, Obedience, and Trust. Mark 6:8:12
8He told them to take nothing for their journey except a walking stick—no food, no traveler’s bag, no money. 9He allowed them to wear sandals but not to take a change of clothes. 10“Wherever you go,” he said, “stay in the same house until you leave town. 11But if any place refuses to welcome you or listen to you, shake its dust from your feet as you leave to show that you have abandoned those people to their fate.”
We would look at the effect of this instructions: Traveling light kept them dependent upon God. They had to trust the Lord for everything if they didn’t take much with them.
Depend on God / Depender en Dios
In that day, if Jewish people had to go in or through a Gentile city, as they left, they would shake the dust off their feet. It was a gesture that said, “We don’t want to take anything from this Gentile city with us.” Essentially, Jesus told them to regard a Jewish city that rejects their message as if it were a Gentile city.
We all need a Fresh Anointing / Unción fresca
Ephesians 5:15-18
Fresh vs Old / Past Anointing
Psalm 92:10 “I shall be anointed with FRESH oil” / “Seré ungido con aceite FRESCO.”
Ecclesiastes 10:1 As dead flies cause even a bottle of perfume to stink, so a little foolishness spoils great wisdom and honor.
I am a candidate for a fresh anointing.

- Mateo 5:15 (Marcos 4:21)
In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” - Matthew 5:16
- Mateo 5:16

- The purpose of an all a lamp is to bring light.
- It shines brightly so that everything can be seen.
- Jesus uses the oil lamp as a type of the believer.
- Because the purpose of the believer is to shine - to bring light.
- But for an oil lamp to function, it must have oil – the Anointing of Holy Spirit.
- This is how we can light our world.
PEOPLE NOTICE THE GOOD DEED DOERS
LA GENTE NOTA A LOS QUE HACEN BUENAS OBRAS
- Have you ever seen somebody doing a good deed?
- How does it make you feel?
- Hechos 10:38-39
- Just like a light turned on in a dark room is how noticeable are those who do good deeds.
THE LIGHT REVEALS EVERYTHING
LA LUZ LO REVELA TODO
- What’s the first thing you notice when you turn on the lights?
- Need to clean - Unwanted pests - Lost object.
- Lucas 15:8
- Light removes the veil - Light brings everything to the open - Light reveals secrets.
REFLECT THE LIGHT OF JESUS
REFLEJAR LA LUZ DE JESÚS
- We are a reflection of what shines in us.
- A lighthouse (faro) light is a concentrated beam (rayo), focused by special lenses (lentes).
- That light has a power source: electrical; kerosene; oil.
- The light source for the believer is Christ - The Anointed.
- Juan 8:12
- More of Jesus – more of His light we can reflect.
“GO LIGHT YOUR WORLD” / Chris Rice
“There is a candle in every soul
Some brightly burning, some dark and cold
There is a Spirit who brings a fire
Ignites a candle and makes His home
So carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the helpless, confused and torn
Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle, and go light your world
Take your candle, and go light your world”

ILUMINA TU MUNDO
“Hay una vela en cada alma
Algunas ardiendo brillantemente, algunas oscuras y frías
Toma tu vela, y ve a iluminar tu mundo
Toma tu vela, y ve a iluminar tu mundo”
- Does the world need your light? Like never before.
- Is there oil for your lamp? An abundance of oil.
- Does the oil lamp want to be filled with oil and light its world? - Those are the key questions.
- That’s the focus of the series!
- Your world needs light.
- It’s in you to light your world.
- I remind you, encourage you, even challenge you, light your world.
CONCLUSION
IT’S IN ME TO LIGHT MY WORLD
ESTA EN MI ALUMBRAR MI MUNDO
